Leading global identity verification provider ID-Pal is thrilled to announce the appointment of John Purdy as the newest member of its Board of Directors. Purdy, who co-founded Ergo over 30 years ago and has since led it through remarkable growth, brings a wealth of experience and strategic insight to ID-Pal’s board.
Purdy’s impressive background includes co-founding Ergo, where he has played a pivotal role in scaling the company into a €200 million enterprise with 750 employees. His leadership has been instrumental in Ergo’s success, including the spin-off of two notable companies, Fenergo and FlowForma, and the acquisition of five others: CDSoft, iSite, Micromail, Asystec, and BoatyardX. His achievements have recently been recognised with the Tech Excellence Lifetime Achievement Award, a testament to his outstanding contributions to the technology sector.
As a graduate of Cranford University, London, with qualifications in strategic management and marketing, Purdy also participated in the Leadership for Growth program at Stanford University. His extensive experience and leadership have been widely acknowledged, and he is known for his forthright views and commitment to leveraging technology for positive change.
In his new role as an independent non-executive director (iNED) at ID-Pal, Purdy will be instrumental in shaping the company’s growth strategy during a crucial period of expansion. ID-Pal is capitalising on its successful entry into the US market, where the demand for AI-powered solutions to combat digitally generated fraud is intensifying. Boasting a diverse portfolio of new U.S customers such as S2 Capital, Bayer Heritage Federal Credit Union, American National University and CreditSnap, along with a network of influential partners, including Salesforce, Mastercard, and Melissa Global Intelligence ID-Pal is well-positioned for substantial growth there. Purdy’s extensive experience and strategic insight will be key in guiding ID-Pal through this exciting phase of international expansion, driving the scalability of its industry-leading identity verification solutions across new global markets.
